in a pair. 
A coffee date between friends
exchanging long conversations
and espresso. 

Raising our drinks 
in a cheerful toast
because we never have time to 
see one another
like we did before. 

Coffee pairs best
when I’m seated beside you
even if you don’t like coffee
which I know
because I know you. 

We can get bubble tea
too. 
Bubble tea is always better 
with company. 
Grabbing it on a random Thursday 
after you get off work. 

Bubble tea tastes better 
with the add-on of laughter. 
Fruit tea, milk tea, 
matcha or coffee. 
Taking a sip of each other’s drinks
to see whose is better. 

Making plans 
to get drinks
because sharing time
is always the best treat.
